Microsoft stirs up hornet nest.
This week Novell joined the Electronic Frontier Foundation in a patent busting project at the same time saying that they would release the entire agreement they made with Microsoft. Mark Shuttleworth has published a article showing the folly of attacking customers, while people have been challenging Microsoft to sue them first.
Microsoft have done an about turn, saying they won't sue.... yet. Perhaps this move is in response to advice from Sun's President and CEO Jonathan Schwartz who suggested that "You would be wise to listen to the customers you're threatening to sue -- they can leave you, especially if you give them motivation."
